Neural Analytics said today it won a $10 million contract with the US Dept. of Defense’s US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command to develop a portable, point-of-care device to assess combat-related traumatic brain injuries.
Through the contract, Los Angeles-based Neural Analytics will partner with the DoD to develop the Lucid system with a goal of completion within 18 months. The system is intended to measure and monitor physiological parameters relevant to moderate to severe TBIs over prolonged periods.
